After getting home a little earlier than I had originally anticipated, i quickly got changed out of my work uniform and went for a wander on the beach. The sand was freezing and yet i couldn't control myself the feet went in and buried deeper down. Something about the sand both intrigues and repulses me, let me explain; it gets lodged in awkward places, it feels either odd or quite enjoyable beneath your feet depending on the temperature, one day later you still find a sand trail in the shower (maybe that's just me?!) , and yet here i am in the freezing cold with my toes happily concealed in the floor. Today sand you have been my friend. I perched for a while, simply taking in the surroundings, i watched families running up and down the sand, dogs digging, everyone splashing in the water, the sunset reflecting on the sea, the waves crashing against the rocks, and for a moment i felt content.
Moments like this i wish i could capture forever, a sense of serenity with nature idly going about its business around me. I feel taking a leaf out of natures book would prove beneficial, a sense of doing whatever i feel like at the time, however i doubt this would always work out, so instead i shall use moments like this to clear my head of built up rubbish and to simply think.
